Lech am Arlberg – The place
The place Lech lies at 1,450 meters above sea level and is one of Austria's most famous alpine holiday destinations. Despite its international reputation as an upscale resort, the village has retained an authentic character: traditional Walser houses characterize the townscape, while modern hotels, boutiques, and restaurants provide comfort and variety. The compact structure is particularly practical – many things can be easily reached on foot, from the cable car to the shops. We were pleased to feel that Lech appears both sophisticated and familiar – a place that offers peace, but at the same time remains lively.
