Winter toboggan run at Biberg

The 6 km long Natural toboggan run at Biberg offers tobogganing fun for the whole family. The ascent can be made on foot or comfortably with the shuttle service, which runs daily from 10:00 to 21:00 between the valley station Bockareitstub'n and the Berggasthof Huggenberg The toboggan run is even lit until 2 a.m.!

The shuttle costs €7 per person; children under 10 years old accompanied by an adult ride free. Private toboggans can be transported for €2, or toboggans can be rented at the Berggasthof Huggenberg or Biberg for €7 per toboggan.

From the Berggasthof Huggenberg, a 50-minute walk leads over the toboggan run through a picturesque winter landscape to the Berggasthof Biberg (also called Berli's Hut) at 1,443 meters above sea level. The trail is therefore only partially suitable for smaller children, as it's too strenuous to pull them up on a toboggan. By the way, don't worry about walking on the toboggan run. During our hike, we encountered exactly one toboggan on the upper section of the trail. 😉

Both inns invite you to stop by for regional specialties and offer impressive panoramic views over the Saalfelden basin and the surrounding mountains.

The descent from the mountain peak to the mid-station runs through snow-covered sections, offering a unique natural experience. From the mid-station onward, however, the route can be icier and more challenging, so caution is advised. After the exhilarating ride, the toboggans can be conveniently returned to the valley station.

Summer toboggan run at Biberg

During the summer months, visitors can enjoy the 1.6 km long summer toboggan run, featuring 61 curves, three jumps, and a vertical drop of 345 meters. The speed of the descent can be individually controlled with a gear lever, ensuring that both families and adrenaline junkies get their money's worth.
