Eggenburg outdoor pool – family-friendly summer fun with a slide, diving tower and plenty of space to relax

The Eggenburg outdoor pool is a popular meeting place for sun-seekers, swimmers, and families. With spacious lawns, several pools, and attractions such as a water slide, diving platform, and beach volleyball courts, it offers a variety of activities for all ages. Thanks to its short distance from the train station and parking lot, the pool is also logistically ideal for a relaxing summer day.

Swimming pool & water fun

The Eggenburg outdoor pool offers three different pools, offering the perfect swimming experience for all age groups. The large sports pool invites ambitious swimmers to enjoy a few lengths, while the adventure pool with its wide entry is more for leisurely cooling off. For children, there's a shallow pool with a pleasant water temperature and plenty of space for splashing around. All pools are approximately 25°C.

A special highlight is the long water slide, which for many children is the main reason they want to come back again and again. It's moderately fast and safe, and ends gently in the adventure pool. Those who prefer to try it from above can try the two diving boards, measuring 1 and 3 meters. Older children and teenagers also have a blast here, while parents can watch from the poolside.

Also striking is the lovingly designed water mushroom, which provides refreshment and additional play fun in the children's area. The water splashes downwards all around, providing pleasant cooling on hot days—especially for the little ones.

The water quality was perfect during our visit – perfect for a long day of swimming.

Children's playground & family areas

In addition to the children's pool, there's a spacious play area with a climbing frame, water playground, slide, and other play equipment. For our youngest guests, there's also a separate baby pool with a mini slide – ideal for their first attempts at splashing around in the shallow water. The atmosphere is relaxed, and the grounds are spacious and easily visible – ideal for families.

Large lawns & special seating areas

The well-maintained, expansive lawns offer plenty of space to spend the day in the sun or shade. A special feature is the so-called "tree-top table," made from the trunk of an old silver pine. A 5-meter umbrella provides pleasant shade—perfect for a relaxing picnic.

Culinary delights at the outdoor pool buffet

The pool buffet offers a surprisingly diverse selection of snacks and hot meals – at very reasonable prices. In addition to classics like hot dogs, cheese sausages, and chicken fingers with fries, there are also various fajitas and burgers with fries – all between €8 and €11. The quality and portion size impressed us – ideal for a family lunch.

Since 2016, 12 photovoltaic panels have ensured environmentally friendly operation. A plus for anyone who values sustainability – even in the outdoor pool.

Good accessibility & parking facilities

Whether by train or car, getting there is straightforward. From Eggenburg train station, it's about a five-minute walk to the pool. Those arriving by car will almost always find a free spot in one of the 400 parking spaces directly on site.
