The adventure tour – Experience bread with all your senses

The interactive tour begins in the small Haubiversum cinema with a five-minute film about the history and philosophy of Haubis. The screen then rises, revealing the "Golden Bakery." There, you can get hands-on and braid a classic poppy seed roll—with your choice of topping. While your baked goods land in the oven, the tour through the glass baking world begins.

Along several stations, you'll learn all about the company's history, daily production (up to 1.2 million baked goods, e.g., for Billa or Spar), the use of spices and doughs, and the logistics behind them. Particularly impressive: Haubis processes around 80 tons of flour daily.

The tour impressively conveys the dimensions in which Haubis works – with 60,000 visitors annually, the Haubiversum is one of Austria's top 30 tourist destinations.

You'll wander through the production halls, observe employees at work (or via video screens on weekends), and touch and smell bread spices like caraway, linseed, or sesame at various stations. A highlight is the so-called "freeze and sweat" station: Here, you'll experience the temperature journey of a dough – from the proofing room (+32°C) to the freezer (-20°C) to the oven.

Finally, there's a bread tasting – taken straight from the oven and served with tongs. A sweet little Malakov ball from the in-house pastry shop is also a must. After about 90 minutes, the tour ends where it began – and you take your homemade poppy seed roll home with you.

With your entry to the tour you will also receive a -25 % voucher for a walnut crust loaf naturally soured (you must order it before the tour; it will be freshly baked in the meantime).

Children in the spotlight: Hamsterhausen & baking courses

There's a wide range of activities for children, regardless of the weather. The indoor "Hamsterhausen" children's world features a slide, craft station, toy shop, and cozy corner. Outside, families can enjoy a 1,000 m² adventure playground with a zip line, climbing frame, water features, and more – all brand-new, child-safe, and lovingly designed around a pond.

Particularly popular: The Children's bakeryHere, little bakers aged 4 and up can shape and bake their own pastries with real dough and under supervision – which they can then, of course, take home.

Gastronomy & Bakery

The Haubiversum café offers hot and cold dishes, pastries, ice cream, and drinks. A particularly pleasant feature is the spacious outdoor seating area, located right next to the playground, so parents can relax and enjoy a coffee while their children play within sight.

The attached bakery is open daily from 7:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Particularly convenient

The audio guide tour – a compact alternative during the week

From Monday to Friday, a shorter audio-guided tour is offered as an alternative to the personal tour. This includes the cinema introduction, the poppy seed roll weaving, insights into the production process, and a voucher, but does not include a tasting or dessert. Duration: approximately 60 minutes.
