Hinterglemm is smaller and a little quieter than Saalbach, has developed into a modern holiday resort with excellent infrastructure. Hotels, holiday apartments, shops, and restaurants can be found directly in the town center or along the main street. The proximity to the valley head is particularly striking – there, a mix of nature, adventure activities, and excursions for the whole family awaits.

Skiing in Hinterglemm

Hinterglemm is directly on the Ski Circus Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Fieberbrunn With modern gondolas like the Zwölferkogelbahn, Reiterkogelbahn, and Hochalmbahn, you can quickly reach the surrounding peaks. The Zwölferkogel is one of the more challenging ski mountains with fast descents, while the Reiterkogel also offers family-friendly slopes and practice areas.

The central location in the Skicircus provides direct access to over 270 kilometers of slopes. Numerous ski huts along the slopes provide refreshments and places to stop for a bite to eat. Hinterglemm is also a popular spot for snow parks and, with the floodlit slope at the Unterschwarzach lift, also offers nighttime skiing fun.

Cross-country skiing and tobogganing

Cross-country skiers will find the approximately 10 km long Valley head trail, which winds through the snowy landscape to the Lindlingalm. The trail is suitable for classic and skating cross-country skiing and is regularly groomed. Its quiet location, free of traffic, makes it particularly attractive.

You can go tobogganing on the illuminated Reiterkogel toboggan run, which is easily accessible via the Reiterkogelbahn cable car. The trail is approximately 3.2 km long and is suitable for both families and more athletic tobogganers. Sled rentals are available on site.
