Generally

The Krapfenwaldbad is considered to be one of the most beautiful pools in Vienna. A significant factor in the popularity of the Krapfenwaldbad is undoubtedly its location - embedded in a picturesque pine forest, from which the name is derived. The proximity to the forest offers visitors the advantage of numerous shady spots that promise a refreshing and cool break on hot summer days.

Vienna's highest swimming pool covers an impressive area of around 40,000 square meters and offers enough space for around 4,500 bathers. The grounds of the Krapfenwaldbad, similar to the Schafbergbad, offer a breathtaking view of the city of Vienna due to its elevated location.

In July 2023, the pool celebrated its 100th anniversary! Incidentally, the Krapfenwaldbad was the first summer pool in Vienna to allow women to swim topless.

For sun worshippers there is plenty of opportunity to general pools as well as the sports pool and enjoy the warm rays.

In the forest area there are numerous attractive play equipment surrounding a spacious playground, including popular classics such as slides and sandpits. The two children's pools are placed directly next to the play area so that the little bathers are always within sight.
