The Wurstelprater: An amusement park with tradition

The Wurstelprater is the heart of the Vienna Prater and delights with its numerous rides, snack bars and attractions. A ride on the famous Vienna Giant Ferris Wheel, which looks far out over the rooftops of Vienna, is a must for every visitor. With a height of 65 meters, it is the landmark of the Prater and offers a spectacular view of the city.

In addition to the Ferris wheel, there are a variety of rides - from classic carousels and ghost trains to modern rollercoasters and spectacular swings that provide thrills. Families will also find attractions for children, including children's carousels and playgrounds.

The Wurstelprater has a long tradition dating back to the 18th century and has been a popular place for entertainment and pleasure ever since. Today it combines nostalgic charm with modern attractions that offer something for every taste.

The Green Prater: A Natural Paradise in the Urban Area

Away from the hustle and bustle of the Wurstelprater, the Green Prater to long walks and sporting activities. This extensive green area stretches for several kilometers and is ideal for those who want to escape city life and enjoy nature. The long Hauptallee, a wide, tree-lined street ideal for jogging, cycling or walking.

Here you will find many quiet places to relax, numerous hiking trails and sports facilities such as football pitches, tennis courts and a riding facility. It is the perfect place to relax after an exciting day in the Wurstelprater. For many, a visit to the famous Schweizerhaus should not be missing. 

Other attractions in the Prater

In addition to the Wurstelprater and the Green Prater, the Vienna Prater has many other attractions to offer. One of the most unusual attractions is the Liliputbahn, a small narrow-gauge railway that runs for about four kilometers through the Green Prater. This railway is particularly popular with children, but adults can also enjoy the ride through the park landscape.
