Reptilienzoo Forchtenstein: Exotic reptiles in the immediate vicinity of the castle

The Forchtenstein Reptile Zoo offers an exciting encounter with over 50 species of reptiles in a manageable area. The well-maintained and largely indoor facility is ideal for families and can be easily explored in about an hour. The highlight is the regular feedings, which provide a fascinating insight into the behavior of the animals.

Animals and Highlights

The zoo is home to numerous exotic reptile species such as snakes, turtles, lizards, crocodiles and amphibians. The ball pythons, the Nile crocodile and various colorful lizard species are particularly worth seeing. The animal enclosures are designed so that visitors can observe the animals up close.

Exciting feedings

The feedings, which take place at set times every day, are a special part of the program. Visitors can watch live how the animals eat their meals and receive interesting information about their behavior and lifestyle.

Well-equipped facility

The well-kept surroundings and the mostly indoor areas make the zoo a pleasant destination, even in bad weather. A small snack bar on site offers drinks and snacks for a short break.
