The White Zoo in Kernhof, Lower Austria, is a special animal park that specializes in rare white animal species. The zoo is particularly famous for its white tigers and snow leopards, which live in spacious, natural enclosures. Other residents include albino kangaroos, snowy owls, coatis, raccoons, monkeys, alpacas, prairie dogs, maras (pampas hares), ibexes and red dogs. Exotic animals such as clouded leopards, servals and civets are also among the animal attractions.
The Camel Theatre is a highlight of the White Zoo. Here camels and other animals show their skills in humorous and entertaining performances. The current piece is called "I'm a Celebrity" and tells the story of Carmen, the Sultan's daughter, who secretly applies to the circus. Under the guidance of Alibaba, a white stallion, she has to pass an entrance exam, while her family and the other animals - including a gang of monkeys, an alpaca and Poldi the mouse - cause chaos and laughter. The show is complemented by prominent speakers such as Viktor Gernot and Angelika Niedetzky. After the show, you can pet the animals outside.
