The Wildseeloder is one of the most famous hiking destinations in PillerseetalLocated directly on the idyllic Wildseelodersee at an elevation of 1,850 meters, the Wildseeloderhaus invites you to rest and relax. The trail from the Lärchfilzkogel to the lake is family-friendly, and an additional summit climb offers spectacular views. In summer, rowboats and cool water provide a special experience.
The hike starts at the Lärchfilzkogel mountain station, accessible by cable car FieberbrunnFrom there, the marked trail no. 711 leads gently downhill to the Wildalm (approx. 20 minutes walk), where you can stop for a bite to eat or visit the cheese shop. The subsequent ascent to the Wildseeloderhaus takes about 40 minutes. In total, from the Lärchfilzkogel to the Wildseelodersee The walk is approximately 2.5 km long, which corresponds to a walking time of approximately 1 hour. The trail is easy to navigate and suitable for children with some stamina. The view from the lake of the Loferer Steinberge massif behind it is particularly popular.
The mountain lake is picturesquely situated between the peaks of Wildseeloder, Henne, and Marokka. On hot days, it's a popular resting place—either for a quick dip or for a rowing trip in the provided rowboat. The lake is freely accessible, and boats are available right next to it. Wildseeloderhaus The rowing is done independently and is a highlight, especially for families with children. The view over the lake, with the Wildseeloderhaus in the foreground, is one of the most famous photo motifs in the Tyrolean Alps.
Behind the Wildseeloderhaus, the ascent to the Wildseeloder summit (2,118 m) begins along trail no. 5. The climb takes about 45 minutes and is steep, but technically easy. You'll be rewarded with a 360° panorama: from the Wilder Kaiser to the Leogang Steinberge and the snow-capped peaks of the Hohe Tauern. Those who skip the summit can stay right by the lake or climb just a short distance to enjoy the view.
Ambitious hikers can continue from the summit of the Wildseeloder via the Seenieder to the Henne (2,077 m). This is also the end of the "Himmel & Henne" via ferrata, which offers three different options. The return route initially leads back to the Seenieder, then branches off to the right to the Marokka summit (2,002 m). The short ascent takes about 15 minutes; the final section is secured with a wire rope. The via ferrata of the same name also ends below the summit. The return route follows the same route back to the Wildseeloderhaus.
For the return to the valley, the alternative route is trail no. 5A. This route leads over the Seenieder valley and is less steep than the direct descent. It also offers more beautiful views of Lake Wildseeloder and the surrounding mountains. The Fieberbrunner Höhenweg (no. 711) finally returns you to the Lärchfilzkogel mountain station. Alternatively, the tour can also be started as a bike & hike from the valley station.
