Zahmer Kaiser cable car: Your gateway to alpine adventures

The Zahmer Kaiser cable car in Tyrol is the ideal starting point for unforgettable hikes, nature experiences and is also particularly attractive for children. With the cable car you can easily reach the middle station and the mountain station, from where numerous hiking trails start. mountain station and mountain farm Zahmer Kaiser

After a ten-minute ride on the four-seater chairlift, you reach the mountain station. Here, the Berghof Zahmer Kaiser offers a wide selection of regional specialties such as schnitzel, cheese dumplings, goulash, Tyrolean Gröstl and Kaiserschmarren on its sun terrace. From the terrace, you have a beautiful view of the surrounding mountains and the Walchsee.

Directly behind the Berghof there is a forest playground with a climbing frame, a crane and an excavator, which can be used for a fee of two euros. A machine for changing tokens is located in a small hut. Further up in the forest there is a trampoline, slide and logs for balancing on. A goat pasture rounds off the offer at the mountain station.

The chairlift takes you from the mountain station to the middle station. However, we prefer to hike.

hike to the middle station

Several hiking trails lead from the mountain station. A popular route leads to the middle station and the Aschinger Alm. The trail begins behind the Berghof and leads past the goat pasture. You follow a small car park and a wide forest road until you reach the Aschinger Alm This offers another children's playground and a varied menu with schnitzel, steak, Kasspatz'l, homemade ravioli and more. The Alm can also be reached by car, with parking on site.

Of the Aschinger Alm the path continues to the middle station. After about 20 minutes you reach the middle station, from which the summer toboggan run leads into the valley. This offers an exciting ride through the alpine landscape and is a highlight for both children and adults. There are single or double toboggans, so you can also ride with a partner or child. Don't worry about driving too fast, a good brake in the middle ensures safety.
