The Drachensee is a very popular destination in the Tyrolean community of Ehrwald. With its unique blue-turquoise shimmer of water, it emerges from a former glacier tavern. From the mountain station of the Ehrwalder Almbahn there is a relatively easy ascent of 500 meters to the Seebensee. From there it goes steadily uphill over rock serpentines. The most difficult part of the hike is overcome after about 40 minutes and you reach the Corburger Hütte with a direct view of the Drachensee. Tyrolean Gröst’l and Kaiserschmarren sweeten your stay with a far-reaching view at the hut.
Walking time approx: 2.5 hours. The hiking trail runs through a wonderful natural spectacle. Nature can be enjoyed to the full.
