The Pöstlingbergbahn is a 2880 meter long narrow-gauge railway line in Linz, which connects the Urfahr district with the Pöstlingberg. The mountain railway, built in 1897 in the meter gauge, was re-gauged to 900 millimeters between 2008 and 2009 and linked to the Linz tram network. Since then, the Pöstlingbergbahn has been running on a 4,140-meter-long route that runs from the main square in downtown Linz to the Landgutstraße stop. Like the tram, the Pöstlingbergbahn is operated by Linz AG Linien and is also one of the steepest adhesion railways in the world.
