You really don’t expect such a beautiful piece of nature in a city. The water park is a natural alluvial forest with 450,000 m², which can be used freely all year round. Here you can take leisurely walks and cycling is also allowed. A total of 12 km of paths lead through the park, some of them over beautiful boardwalks and bridges.
In addition to the Tulln Gardens, there is also a boat rental for the 5 km of waterways. Of course there are only canoes or pedal boats for hire here. There are two circuits that can be explored by boat. The duration of the two circuit lengths is about 30-45 minutes.
On the treetop circuit you circle the area of the “Nature in the Garden” adventure world: the GARTEN TULLN and on the water lily bridge circuit you meander along the waterways in the direction of Tullner city centre.
Here you will find all information about boat rental.
History
120 years ago, the life and species-rich backwaters of the Danube in the area of today’s water park were drained.
In 1998 an ecological revitalization project was started. The result was increased resettlement by a wide variety of animal species, especially waterfowl, and with the natural settlement of endangered riparian and aquatic plants within just a few vegetation periods.
