The Lake Baßgeigen or Müllnersee is a small lake in the Keutschacher Seental to the east of the Keutschacher See and lies directly next to the Keutschacher Moor.
With the beautiful Hike around the Keutschacher Moor you pass right by it. For us, this lake is the Highlight of the hike.
It got its name from its shape, which is reminiscent of a bass violin.
The Viktringerbach flows through the lake, which then flows into the Rauschelesee. Due to its strong current and small volume, the Baßgeigensee does not reach the water temperatures of the neighbouring larger lakes in summer.
Nevertheless, he likes to swim in the lake as it is always clean due to the current.
The Baßgeigensee is a popular fishing lake with carp, pike, catfish and tench.
