These houses are probably photographed more often than the Golden Roof. They are right on the Inn next to the Inn Bridge. The concrete bridge connects the magnificent old town of Innsbruck with the oldest district of Mariahilf – St. Nikolaus. It is best to photograph it from the side of the old town, as you have the imposing mountain range in the background. Unfortunately, you have to be a bit lucky here too. So you can take the most beautiful photos with a cloudless sky, even if the water shimmers blue. But rain clouds can cover the mountains and then the river is churned up by mud – as on our second visit. At least we are comforted by the nice “Hamburg market” that takes place here once a year. Fortunately, we were also here last year when the weather was nice.
