The place is one of the three surrounding communities of the Wolfgangsee (next to St.Gilgen and St Wolfgang).There are not many sights in Strobl, but the place is perfect for a holiday on the WolfgangseeThe village square and the small lake promenade have their charm, however. On this very promenade you can find the bronze "Platonic lovers" looking out over the lake, in front of which two cranes are poking around in the water lily pond. Bürglstein Promenade
First, walk along the beach promenade anti-clockwise along the lake. The starting point is the Seeklause, where the Ischler Ache flows out of the Wolfgangsee To the right is the forest, to the left are several boathouses on the bank. Several beautiful rest areas and information boards provide variety, but the view alone is worth the walk.
The most beautiful part of the walk is that under the sea-side rock walls, where there are wooden walkways along the turquoise blue water of Lake Wolfgang The place can be reached in just a few minutes on foot.
By the way, you can also manage the route up to this point with a stroller. After that, you go up and down a few stairs, which is quite tiring with a stroller but possible.
