Directions, parking and cable car

The suspension rope bridge
As soon as you leave the gondola on the Stubnerkogel, the view opens up to the impressive rock formations that stretch between the Stubnerkogel mountain station and the transmitter station. At an altitude of 2300 metres the highest suspension rope bridge in Europe. The 140 metre long suspension rope bridge in Bad Gastein swings elegantly 28 metres above the ground and offers the opportunity for an impressive walk all year round. This bridge is not only a place for unforgettable moments, but also a favourite destination for photographers.
Glockner view
The Stubnerkogel in Bad Gastein fascinates with its breathtaking panoramic views, which culminate on the "Glocknerblick" viewing platform. Even experienced alpinists are impressed by this point, which not only offers a magnificent view of the Grossglockner, but also of other imposing peaks such as the Watzmann, the Dachstein and the Hochkönig. The view stretches across several federal states, from Tyrol and Carinthia to Styria and Bavaria.
Rocky path on the Stubnerkogel
The rock path on the Stubnerkogel, starting near the mountain station, is a highlight for hikers of all seasons. This 100 metre long path leads along impressive rock formations and ends at a viewing platform. Here you can experience the feeling of floating above the abyss thanks to a grating floor and transparent railing. The path, crowned by a free-floating suspension bridge, offers unique views in both summer and winter and remains an unforgettable nature experience.

From here you can enjoy a breathtaking northern panoramic view over Bad Hofgastein. Make yourself comfortable on the wooden steps and let your gaze wander over the impressive mountain scenery and into the depths of the valley. There are various places to stop for refreshments in the ski area, offering visitors culinary delights in the midst of the breathtaking mountain landscape. One prominent example is the "Gipfelrestaurant Stubner"which is located directly at the mountain station of the Stubnerkogel cable car. This restaurant is located at an altitude of 2,230 metres and offers a magnificent mountain panorama as well as a cosy ambience.
But also the "Rossalm" almost at the bottom of the valley station was very cosy.
