Along the way, you’ll encounter informative stations that not only provide knowledge but also foster a playful understanding of the mushrooms’ significance in the forest. Especially for families, the Schwammerlweg is an ideal opportunity to explore nature together and learn about the local flora.
Even children show enthusiasm, effortlessly distinguishing between edible, inedible, and poisonous mushrooms. Our four-year-old pointed out that some mushrooms are labeled with a knife and fork, while others, as he puts it, have a “puke face.”
For hiking enthusiasts, the trail holds surprises. The combination of an educational route and the idyllic surroundings makes every step an experience. A visit during the mushroom season is highly recommended, with the trail adorned by a vibrant array of mushrooms, showcasing nature in its most beautiful form.
