Tiefenbach Gorge is a popular destination in the Tyrolean Alps. The gorge stretches approximately 4 kilometers and leads through a narrow canyon, where the Brandenberger Ache river roars. The path through the gorge is well secured and follows a trail of rocks and gravel. During the hike, you can admire the bizarre rock formations within the gorge and observe kayakers on the river.
After about 1.5 kilometers, you will reach a viewing platform, offering an impressive panorama of the gorge. The trail crosses three bridges in total. After about 4 kilometers, the valley opens up, and you’ll arrive at a green meadow. Here, you can take a break at the Jausenstation Tiefenbachklamm (refreshment station).
The total walking time from the beginning to the end of the Tiefenbach Gorge is approximately 1.5 hours.
For the return journey, you can either take the same path or hike to the church in Brandenberg and take the bus back to Kramsach.
