How do you get there?
For an uncomplicated journey to the Brandalm, follow the ski and hiking trail. The hut is well signposted and can be reached directly. In winter, the toboggan runs are a particularly attractive option for reaching the alpine pasture area. We park ourselves in the car park in front of the Alpengasthaus EdelbrunnFrom there, the path goes past the guest house on the left. It goes steadily uphill on a forest path. The path could even be managed with a stroller, but our children don't find it particularly exciting.
After some time you reach the Dachstein house. From here, the forest path continues steadily uphill until, after about 1 hour, you reach the Brandalm reached.

Alpine culinary delights
The culinary delights at the Brandalm reflect the love of tradition. Regional specialties, from hearty beef soup to homemade farmer's doughnuts, make every visit a gastronomic experience. The in-house organic farm ensures authentic and sustainable delights.
We visited the Brandalm during its Doughnut time in autumn We treated ourselves to the meat doughnuts and the cabbage doughnuts. We can highly recommend both. The climb was worth it. For dessert there is a Schüssellkrapfen with cranberries and vanilla sauce.
PS: between you and me, we have never seen such nice and clean toilets in a hut 😉
