Winter:
When you hear the term Hahnenkamm, most Austrians probably think of the Cockscomb-Race. This is an international event in alpine ski racing, which has been held since 1931 at Cockscomb in Kitzbühel. The most famous is the Hahnenkamm downhill.
In winter, 16 kilometers of perfectly groomed slopes are available.
But the Hahnenkamm is worth a visit at any time of year!
Summer:
From the mountain station, there is a hiking and climbing area for all mountain lovers of all ages and abilities. Numerous alpine pastures and huts are easily accessible after a short walk on paths that are partly barrier-free. A walk with a stroller is no problem, and there are more than enough playgrounds. We even met a wheelchair user.
Above we are the Hut tour #23 to Ehrenbachhöhe After a hearty lunch in one of the numerous huts, we finally reached the famous Stripe down hiked!
The Kitzbühel Alps are a paradise for mountain bikers. The 7.5-kilometer-long Fleckalm Trail, with 1,000 meters of elevation, is known as the longest single trail in Tyrol.
