Winter:
When you hear the term Hahnenkamm, 90% of Austrians probably think of the Hahnenkamm races. This is an international event in alpine ski racing that has been held at the Hahnenkamm in Kitzbühel since 1931. The most famous is the Hahnenkamm run.
In winter there are 16 kilometers of perfectly groomed slopes available.
But the Hahnenkamm is worth a visit at any time of the year!
Summer:
A hiking and climbing area opens up from the mountain station for all mountain lovers of all ages and levels of ability. Numerous alpine pastures and huts can be easily reached after a short walk, some of which are barrier-free. A walk with the stroller is not a problem, there are also more than enough playgrounds. We even met a wheelchair user.
At the top we went the hut circuit #23 to Ehrenbachhöhe. After a long lunch in one of the numerous huts, we finally hiked down the famous Streif!
The Kitzbühel Alps are a paradise for mountain bikers. The 7.5 kilometer Fleckalm Trail is known as the longest single trail in Tyrol with an altitude difference of 1,000 meters.
