Then in 2006 a bog trail was opened around the wetland for visitors. A total of 11 stations and information boards provide interesting information about the formation of the raised bog. Particular attention was paid to making it child-friendly.

At 10:15 a.m. we park at the parking lot, where there is also a toilet. The circular route begins at the information board. A narrow path leads past it on the right. Information boards are repeatedly set up along the way. After a few minutes you turn onto a forest path, which you now walk straight ahead. To be more precise, you circumnavigate the entire moor counter-clockwise on this wide forest path.
The forest is very beautiful throughout, but we would have expected a little more from the adventure trail. Despite the bad weather (no wonder, this region in the Northern Limestone Alps is one of the areas in Austria with the highest rainfall) we like to walk, but apart from a few slugs we don’t see much.
After about 45 minutes, you finally branch off onto a wooden path, which is always used to advertise the moor, into the moor. On skis it goes through the Latschen-Moor forest. The boardwalk leads into the moor for a few minutes. At the end you have a beautiful view. In front of you is the dark lake, the so-called “Moorauge” (bogs eye), in the center of the moor.
We go back and follow the forest path. After about 1 hour we arrive back at the parking lot.
