The lido in Klagenfurt is one of the largest seaside resorts in Europe. It is located on the eastern shore of Lake Wörthersee, directly in the city of Klagenfurt. Accordingly, it is easy to reach. There are no pools here, but spacious sunbathing areas and lots of trees right on Lake Wörthersee. The lido was opened in 1924 and has been enlarged several times since then. Today it holds up to 10,000 visitors a day.
A highlight are 3 huge jetties with plenty of space to lie down. In between there are sandy beacheswhich are particularly popular with children.
Those looking for peace and quiet have a view of the turquoise glowing Lake Wörthersee and behind it the lookout point on the Pyramidenkogel rises up into the air.
For families
The Klagenfurt lido is a paradise, especially for families with children. In addition to the sandy beaches already mentioned, there are varied playgrounds, a separate water playground and a separate non-swimmer area in Lake Wörthersee. If you want, you can also take a swimming course here.
Of course, a water slide should not be missing. Time can be used to track who is the fastest down the 113 metre long slide. If that's not enough adrenaline, there is also a 3-metre diving platform.
