The Promenadenbad Pörtschach is much smaller than the nearby Klagenfurt lido. This means that it can get very crowded on hot summer days. You can reach it by taking the very beautiful Beach promenade in Pörtschach At the end of this you come to the always busy ice cream shop and the lido restaurant, which is also open to guests who do not visit the lido. The food is pretty good for a lido. There are fresh pizzas from the oven, good burgers, spaghetti, Carinthian cheese dumplings and much more. Fresh fruit is also available here and there are snacks for the little ones too.
The bath area extends over a Lying area of around 10,000 m²A highlight is the very beautiful access to the Flower island. This leads over a 100 m long arched bridge. You can often watch the fish from above. However, there are very limited shady spots on the island.
In the main part of the pool you can usually find a shady spot, but you have to expect to be very close to your neighbors, as the small pool can be overcrowded, especially on weekends.
The bathroom offers a Water climber, numerous table tennis tables and a beach volleyball court as well as a children's playground. For children there is also Sandpits and shallow pebble beaches.
There are also the possibilities Water skiing, wakeboarding, SUP or tube rides to do.
Unfortunately, it has to be said that the pool is a bit old. For example, the water slide had to be closed for structural reasons. It is unclear whether it will ever reopen.
Nevertheless, you have a really nice view of the turquoise blue Lake Wörthersee.
