Allgemein

General
The Tullner Aubad is a 50,000 m² lake with surrounding lawns near the city of Tulln. It is an ideal destination in Lower Austria for families, amateur athletes and connoisseurs. In total, the public bath covers an area of 30 hectares.
The maximum water depth of the lake is about 6 meters, the average water depth is about 3-4 meters. The water temperature in summer is usually over 25° and is therefore also ideal for children.
2/3 of the shore of the lake consists of sunbathing lawns while 1/3 is natural and overgrown with reeds. Everyone can find space at the lake here, but the parking lot can get extremely full on hot days. But sooner or later you will find something along the access road from Tulln.
Sports & Children
Various water activities are offered here. For example, you can go pedal boating or rent a stand-up paddle board. If you really want to explore the entire Au by boat, we recommend the boat rental service at WasserparkTulln near the Tulln Garden.
There is a spacious children’s area with a sandy beach. Here the children can dig or splash around in an adventure play stream.
A few meters from the sandy beach there is a swimming octopus in the lake. A highlight for the children are certainly the two water slides with a length of 45 meters and 18 meters respectively. Unsupervised children must be 1.30 m tall and at least eight years old.
For sports enthusiasts there are 5 beach volleyball courts, a basketball court, a beach handball court and idyllic paths for walking and jogging.
A little tip: if you really want peace and quiet, we recommend not staying close to the basketball court. The dribbling of the balls in combination with the rattling of the basket chains can get quite loud.
On a meadow there is also a soccer field with two small goals. Not far from the Aubad you will also find an amusement park with a BMX area and a skate park.
Eat & Drink
There are six barbecue areas for rent in the eastern part of the Tullner Aubades. Here is the online booking.
You can also fortify yourself at the canteen in the areal, although unfortunately it has to be said that the food sounds much better than it actually is. The portion sizes are manageable and the cooking skills are very modest. In addition, it can happen that you have to queue for a really long time.
Next to the canteen there is also a restaurant called “Nevada Beach Lounge”, which is a bit more expensive, but also tastes much better.
If you want it really quiet, we can recommend the “Taverne²”, which is located directly between the Aubad car park and next to it. It actually belongs to the campsite, but you can also access it from the Aubades car park. However, reservation is strongly recommended. Here you can sit comfortably in the shade under trees and feast.
